JUNE 2008

On May 29th we had our Coaches Outreach coming out party for the Southeast Region.  Thank you to Coach Gene Stallings for being the honored guest for an invitation-only lunch at his favorite restaurant in Birmingham. 

Coach Stallings really has a warm appreciation for Tommy and the vision of Coaches Outreach.  The lunch was well attended and was a result of Jon Guthrie's hard work.  Jon, our Southeast Regional Coordinator, has spent the year meeting with coaches, pastors and lay men sharing the vision of Coaches Outreach.  Tommy Maxwell also attended the lunch and gave a brief history about how Coaches Outreach began at a coaches Bible study in Austin, Texas, then progressed to a marriage conference in Texas in the summer as well as a Bible study during the school year.

This year we will have 5 marriage conferences.  One of which is in Opelika, Alabama and has approximately 50 coaching couples signed up to attend.  The Lord continues to expand his influence through Coaches Outreach.  If you'd like to know more about how your gifts can help Coaches Outreach expand throughout the Southeast and beyond, please call Ben Haralson at 214-654-0042 or e-mail ben.haralson@coachesoutreach.org.
